A Piece of History Restored –
The Sandalwood Statue
One of our most rewarding projects was the restoration of a sandalwood statue that was severely damaged in a fire caused by candles inside a historic Auckland church. Initially deemed beyond repair, the statue held significant cultural and historical value to the church community.
Aries Builders was called upon to reinstate the building, and as part of the restoration efforts, we took on the challenge of bringing the statue back to life. Through meticulous craftsmanship and collaboration with restoration specialists, we were able to save and restore the statue, preserving a treasured part of the church’s history.
Today, the beautifully restored statue is securely displayed behind glass within the church, standing as a symbol of resilience, faith, and heritage. We are incredibly proud to have played a role in preserving this important piece of history for future generations.
