Your roof does a big job. When it needs attention, you want to understand the options and know who is organising the work.

CHOOSING YOUR LONG-RUN ROOF

The right look.
The right fit for your property.

Long-run roofing offers a choice of profiles and colours. The best option for your home also depends on the roof pitch, location and exposure—not just the colour you like.

We work through the practical choices with you: roofing profile and coating, flashings, gutters, access and any associated building repairs. We can discuss Dimond Roofing products and other suitable options for the project.

USEFUL ANSWERS BEFORE YOU START

Roofing & reroofing FAQs.

What is long-run roofing?

Long-run roofing uses profiled metal sheets made to specified lengths for a roof. Profiles range from familiar corrugate to other ribbed and architectural styles. The appropriate profile and coating depend on the building, roof pitch and location.

Does my roof need replacing, or can it be repaired?

That depends on the condition and extent of the problem. A localised issue may be suitable for a repair, while widespread deterioration or repeated failures may make replacement worth considering. We assess the accessible roof areas and explain the options before recommending a scope.

Can you help with a leaking roof?

Yes. Tell us where you have noticed water, when it happens and whether there is visible internal damage. We can arrange an assessment and discuss repair options. Finding the source may require further investigation; the point where water appears inside is not always the point where it enters.

How much does a long-run reroof cost in Auckland?

Pricing depends on roof size and shape, access, scaffolding or edge protection, the selected roofing system, removal of existing materials and any building repairs. We assess the property and provide a quotation for the agreed scope, with allowances and exclusions explained.

What is included in a roofing quotation?

The quotation should make clear the roofing areas and materials, flashings, access arrangements, removal and disposal, and associated building work included. Gutters, insulation, internal repairs and other upgrades should be identified separately where relevant. We work through these details with you before the job starts.

How long will reroofing take?

The programme depends on the roof, access, material lead times, weather and any repairs uncovered during removal. We discuss the expected sequence and disruption before starting, then keep you informed if conditions affect the programme.

Can I stay in my home during the roofing work?

Often this can be planned, but it depends on the scope and site conditions. We discuss noise, access, working areas and protection with you before work begins, including any times when parts of the property need to be kept clear.

Can you repair rotten timber discovered under the roof?

Yes. Aries can coordinate the building work as well as the roofing. If damaged timber or another concealed problem is found, we document it and discuss the required repairs, price and timing before additional work proceeds. Specialist input is arranged where needed.

Can gutters, fascia, soffits or insulation be included?

Yes, these can be discussed as part of the scope. Reroofing can be a useful time to assess related work, but access and suitability vary. Tell us what you would like considered so the quotation is clear about what is included.

How do I choose a roofing profile and colour?

The starting points are your roof pitch, the building style and exposure to wind or coastal conditions. We can discuss suitable product options, including Dimond Roofing profiles, and help coordinate colour samples. Product suitability is confirmed for the project before ordering.

Do you carry out commercial roofing work?

Yes. We can arrange long-run roofing, reroofing and repairs for residential and commercial properties across Auckland. Commercial work is planned around access, occupants and business operations, with the scope and programme agreed in advance.

What warranties and maintenance apply to a new roof?

Warranty terms vary with the product, location, installation and maintenance requirements. We discuss the applicable product and workmanship information for your project. Keep the supplied care instructions and arrange maintenance suited to the roof and its environment.

Do I need building consent for reroofing?

Requirements depend on the proposed work and the building. Tell us about any changes to the roof material, structure or layout so the need for design, engineering or council input can be checked before work starts. We do not assume every reroof is the same.

How do I arrange a roofing site visit?

Send us a message using the form, or call 09 276 1605. Include your property suburb, what concerns you about the roof and any preferred timing. You do not need to know the roofing profile or technical terms—we can work through that with you.
